Aware
To be much more aware of how I feel,
No masks to blur the lines ‘tween what is real
and lies, no numbing agent, living raw,
Experiencing the pain and joy, and sure
the plug is pulled, and now tears flow more freely,
Their tracks of truth have shown me how it’s really,
to be much more aware of how I feel.
