Hope Away

Sometimes life fades out of view,
Holding hands with shades of you,
Feel the fire, between our palms,
no-more.

All I hold’s within your eyes,
Hearts unsheathed, we’ll speak no lies,
Strike the match to light the pyre,
once more,

It isn’t easy, singing my hope away,
It isn’t easy, singing my hope away

Another cup of coffee’s on the side,
Looking through the weave of life to see how we tried,
The crack’s grown wider each time we fall
It’s true,

Cast adrift, I fear no-more,
Swim or drown towards your shore,
So won’t you, tell me some way,
Will this be our last day.

It isn’t easy, singing my hope away,
(no) it isn’t easy, singing my hope away,

and I fear the worst,

For even wrongs can still seem right,
When dreaming,
The distance on those darkest nights,
Thoughts teeming,
To be alone might be the way,

It isn’t easy, singing my hope away,
It isn’t easy, singing my hope away,
It isn’t easy, singing my hope away, today

Sometimes life fades out of view.
