Lines Upon A Map

Symbolised by where our mothers lay
We rose and grew, matured within the lines,
Lines that rule, divide, define our lives,
Lines, all stained by blood and tears of men,
Burning rage at the invisible,
Through history until our present day,
People, live and die because of lines
Which claim they are not worthy of the right,
to have or hold their moral dignity,
From up on high, those standing on the wall,
Manipulating marionettes below,
A fickle dictatorial pair of hands,
The lines, their podium to preach their thrall.
