The cog turns one more tooth,

The latch bites down upon its groove,

Taken out of last week’s rut, or month’s or year’s, it’s no concern,

As change is always guaranteed,

A slap across my weathered brow,

Frown not for then but live right now,

To mould again a life anew,

With love from those dear, precious few.
