Question words aren’t asked of all our news,
Bloated corporate beings serve up their views,
Which differ in their tone and choice of phrase,
‘Decry these folks, but these are ones to praise’,
Superlatives cast out in wanton vagary,
Banging the drums to mask partisan fakery,
The worthy and unworthy placed before us,
Headlines tell a tale of who’s superfluous,
The machinations drip with fiscal grease,
A shifting, sliding, endless road to peace,
All those bombs and pills fill up some coffers,
So wary eyed I look upon their offers.
